In-country travel dates: March 2 – March 13 (tentative)

The Thailand and Japan GIE allows participants to experience both countries through a healthcare lens. You will gain a firsthand, in-depth understanding of healthcare, and you will be exposed to innovative research and development, complex healthcare models, and unique challenges and opportunities. In addition, you will gain an understanding of how culture, social, and political aspects impact healthcare. By visiting both countries, you’ll have the opportunity to compare and contrast both healthcare landscapes.

Program will spend time in Bangkok, Thailand; Osaka, Kobe, Hiroshima, Kyoto, Tokyo, and Hakone, Japan.

• Thai Cooking Class welcome dinner
• Bike Tour of Bangkok
• Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park & Museum
• Miyajima Guchi and Miyajima Island
• Guided tour of Kyoto
• Tea Ceremony
• Tsukiji Market and Asakusa
• Farewell Dinner at Gonpachi Nisiazabu (Kill Bill Restaurant)
• Traditional Japanese Onsen in Hakone with hiking, waterfalls, and natural hot springs

• 4 classes will take place Thursday nights, 6-9pm during mod III

COVID vaccination and pre-travel testing required to participate, as it is a requirement of our provider.
